Wharton also was familiar with many famous people of the time, including President Theodore Roosevelt «In Morocco» is a travelogue about Edith’s journey to Morocco in the final days of the World War I. It colorfully describes her month-long path through the cities and deserts of the country, and all the places she visited — ruins, mosques, palaces, markets, and harems.
